Set in the heart of a stunning lava landscape, and with architecture inspired by nature, the Retreat Hotel is just a fourteen-minute walk from the Blue Lagoon. The hotel has bright and spacious double/twin rooms with verandas or balconies, and breathtaking views of the surrounding lava fields or lagoon.

Modern, exclusive suites use clean lines and natural, local textures to create unique, warm, minimalist spaces. The Lava View Junior suites, with private terraces, are carved into the earth and bring you face-to-face with frozen-in-time layers of historic lava. Moss suites, comprised of two rooms on the upper level, have private balconies and serene views of the horizon.

For a 2-night stay, guests can choose the Lagoon Suite with their own private lagoon, private terrace, and floor to ceiling windows that dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior.

Meal choices are endless from the award-winning Moss Restaurant, culinary classics in the Lava Restaurant, gourmet delicacies in the Spa Restaurant, and fresh snacks and beverages in the Cafe.

Please Note:
A stay at the Retreat Hotel includes access to Blue Lagoon, Blue Lagoon Ritual, the Retreat Spa and the Retreat Lagoon. This will be arranged directly with the hotel at time of check in. It cannot be pre-arranged.
Minimum age for using the Retreat Spa and the Retreat Lagoon is 12 years. All guests 12-18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult guardian during their visit.
Minimum age for using the Blue Lagoon is 2 years. All children 2-15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult guardian during their visit.
